It’’s about time to write a little bit about Santa Catarina. For the uninitiated, Santa Catarina is an admirable piece of Brasil due to its variety of sceneries and its ethnic diversity. We have beatiful beaches, the Mata Atlantica ( Atlantic Forest), a mountain range, forests of pine trees , fields, lagoons and waterfalls. The miscigenation spices up the ethnic beauties. The state received Africans, Germans,Portuguese and Italian immigrants. Those intermarried and also married the indigenous peoples, thus creating a tapestry of cultural and ethnic diversity. The meeting and preservation of those cultures and ethnicities is visible in the architecture, culinary, folklore and festivals.
Ous coast (500 kms of extension) harbours secluded beaches, peaceful fisherfolk villages and life brimming small towns.
At the mountains, during winter season we receive steady snowfall.
Well, our spa happend to be surrounded by the Mata Atlantica, on top of a hill. We have paradisiac vistas from just about any place. We can see the ocean, hills and naturally experience the Mata and all her relatives, if we wish so.

Ah! O Prazer da Vitória! Finalmente, após semanas (eu quero realmente significar Semanas!!!) conseguimos colocar o blog na rede. Muita coisa tem acontecido nos últimos dias, mas o que são essas pequenas “pedras” comparadas com as “pedreiras” que tivemos que demolir (e naturalmente reciclar) nestas últimas semanas (desculpem, mas tenho que ser enfática) de trabalho?
